Referring a Patient

InHealth accept patient referrals under a range of NHS contracts, and also referrals for self-paying or insured patients. If you would like to refer a patient to InHealth, please follow our guide below.

Check whether your patient is eligible for referral
Download the form or request a form via our referral centre
Fax or post the completed form to the address detailed on the form
We will contact your patient within 10 days to arrange an appointment
Your patient will attend one of our centres for the scan or procedure
You will receive results within 5 days of the scan
 

Please note:

  • The eligibility of an NHS patient for referral depends upon the NHS contracts in operation near your clinical unit.  You can confirm eligibility prior to referral by calling our referral centre on 0845 603 0854.
  • GPs in London should make referrals to InHealth via the London NHS Diagnostic Service website.
  • Clinicians referring for PET/CT in the South of England should refer via the NHS PET/CT Diagnostic Imaging Service website.
  • We regret that we are unable to accept referral forms via email as they require a physical signature.
  • Your patient will be contacted by our dedicated Patient Referral Centre, and will receive full written details of their appointment by post.
  • The referral form allows you to choose the method by which you will receive the diagnostic report.
