Graduate and Emerging Talent Programmes

Personal Development

As part of our commitment to developing our people and the clinicians of the future, we offer development through post graduate qualification training programmes and opportunities to practice new found clinical skills in different environments.

Our MRI Training Programme

Who is it for?

‘The Deal’  for our employees gives you the opportunity to do the job you love whilst developing yourself at the same time.
Our internal training programme provides a structured approach to qualified radiographers who want to specialise in MRI and fast track their career into the speciality of MRI whilst still earning a salary. You may be a recent graduate, or at a later stage in your career with a desire to develop a competencies in MRI.
Through a blend of on-the-job learning in various clinical settings, supported by high quality classroom learning, away from the pressure of the clinical environment, our competency-led programme ensures that radiographers become competent in performing routine neurological MSK imaging.

How long does it take?

On average, we see competencies achieved within 8-12 months although this is dependent on the learner. Individuals develop at their own pace.

Is it an official qualification?

This programme is approved by College of Radiographers.

Where will I be based?

As a national employer we can offer placements across the UK. Successful applicants will be offered roles as near to their home location as possible, and where required relocation packages may be offered to accommodate vacancies.   We have both mobile and static opportunities post completion of our programme. 81% of our people completing our programme stay with InHealth in permanent roles.

How do I apply and what is the process?

You should make your initial application online; please search for current opportunities using the link below.
Selected candidates will receive an invitation to an assessment day at our Head Office in High Wycombe.  This will give you an insight into our organisation and culture, as well as an opportunity to meet some of the people involved in delivering the programme. You will also meet some of the managers with open vacancies for the programme.

What support will be available for me during my programme?

If you are selected to join the programme, you will be assigned a line manager as your first point of contact.  You will also be able to access to a mentor who will be there to guide and support you. Our Clinical Lead and tutors will also play a key part in your development and the delivery of your programme. Importantly, you will also be part of a wider group of current students, with access to alumni of the programme who can support your personal journey.

What do people go on to do after their programme?

We are proud of the number of people who choose to stay with InHealth.  81% of people who undergo this programme stay with InHealth for a minimum of 3 years. All will remain in healthcare and work for either the NHS, or independent sector employers.  You will have the choice to further develop your MRI competencies, progress to management or sub-specialise in a modality such as Cardiac MRI.

What do our learners say about the programme?

" I really found the whole course useful. The workbook was a good prompt to learn and refresh my knowledge. To be able to have time out of clinical to learn was invaluable! This level of knowledge couldn’t be gained in the clinical environment. Very good and would recommend!"
"The course has been excellent, thoroughly enjoyable and extremely relevant."
