Lung Cancer Screening
An NHS Screening Service
Lung Cancer Screening is being offered to people aged between 55 – 74 years. Lung health checks are currently available in selected areas of England.
In partnership with the NHS, InHealth is a provider of Lung Cancer Screening across the UK.
How it works
If you are aged 55 to 74, you may be sent an appointment for Lung Cancer Screening when the mobile scanning unit is in your area and when it is your turn. NHS lung health checks are completely free and will be offered 7 days a week, including evenings. They take place in convenient community locations such as supermarkets and sports venues, making it as easy as possible for you to attend.
The lung health check will be conducted by specialist nurses. You’ll be asked some questions about your breathing and overall health. The nurse will measure your height and weight, they may even test your breathing. If a problem with your breathing or lungs is found, early treatment. Your lungs work hard every minute of your life as you get older. It’s worth having them checked out. could be simpler and more successful.
