Cardiac Services

Our Cardiac services

InHealth is a leading provider of non interventional, diagnostic cardiac services to the NHS.

These range from a number of physiological studies of the heart and blood vessels such as 12 lead ECGs, Holter monitors (also known as 24hr ECGs), Blood Pressure Monitoring  as well as 24hr Blood Pressure Monitoring, BNP, to diagnostic imaging of the heart such as Cardiac MRI and Cardiac CT.

An ECG can assess how well the heart is working by recording the signals it sends out during each heartbeat.

BNP measures the level of Brain Natruiretic Peptide released by the heart when the ventricles are stretched.

Cardiac MRI detects/monitors  cardiac disease, measures function and evaluates the  heart’s anatomy and function in patients with congenital heart disease.

A Cardiac CT  is an imaging test that uses X rays to take many detailed pictures of the heart and its blood vessels in patients with chest pain.

If you’re attending a diagnostic appointment with InHealth, take a look at this website from Informed Scan for more information about what to expect when you visit. There is also a section on Radiation Risk for anyone attending X-Ray, DEXA, CT, Cardiac and Mammography appointments.

Cardiac CT

InHealth offers static and mobile CT solution which includes a fleet of Toshiba, Philips and Siemens scanners which acquire volumetric data at high speed with unsurpassed image quality, enhancing throughput and patient comfort.

We are committed to providing customers and patients with the latest technology and equipment and delivered the world’s first mobile cardiac capable 128 slice CT scanner and now uses Toshiba 160 slice CT scanners.  This provides a real alternative to more invasive procedures and acquires high-resolution three dimensional images of coronary arteries and calcium scoring  to images of the coronary arteries to determine if they are blocked or narrowed by the build up of plaque -an indicator for atherosclerosis or coronary artery disease.

Could not have been more helpful – not only being patient and listening to my concerns but then proposing and carrying out a potential solution immediately.  The care and service here has been excellent.
